GUM offers young members financial support for the participation in meetings organized by GUM or EEMGS in form of travel grants and/or reduced conference fees. In selected cases GUM also provides financial support for other conferences linked to GUM interests.
To request a travel grant from GUM, all of the following conditions have to be fulfilled:
- GUM membership for at least one year
- Applications can be made up to 4 years after receipt of the PhD
- Applicants need to actively participate at the meeting as first author of a scientific contribution (oral presentation or poster)
The application form for a GUM travel grant can be found in here. Please apply for the travel grant at least 3 months before the start of the event.
The decision about the granting the travel grant and the respective amount lies solely with the GUM management board.
